More and more of the animations I had worked on are dropping prior to the amazing Halloween season with Fanta!
For anyone wondering, the animations were done with a combination of different Adobe tools, including After Effects, Illustrator and Adobe Animate, the original design was done by an excellent Illustrator by the name of Luis Pinto.

As of last week, Let’s Make Comics Chicago’s 5th Comic Anthology “This Makes Me Sad” has been fully funded on Kickstarter.
We are excited to publish and print our 5th entry, which will include works from me. I will also be providing 3 Commissions for Backers that will also be featured on the CatTrigger Instagram account.
As stated before, Comics have been an incredible study of mine since I was a kid, and was an essential step in helping me become the Animation / Motion Graphics person I am today. Not only through its constant practice of drawing, but also through its necessary vehicle of visual storytelling.
Let’s Make Comics is an organization that not only assists people in their journey through comic creation, but also develops a community and relationships with a large group of like minded people. Both made up of creative hobbyists AND creative professionals, such as myself.
With this 5th book, we hope it inspires more people in the city of Chicago to come to our meetings and join us in working on their own projects, or even these group efforts we do every year.
I’m flattered by the support given for this organization and our book. Thank you again!
It’s been incredibly exciting to hear about another project I was involved in that has just been nominated to receive an award at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.
Big ups to Richter Studios for the opportunity, the Cinematography and Editing team was what made this one happen.

“Let’s Make Comics” is an organization that helps encourage artists to draw and produce their very own comic stories. I’ve been part of the organization for over 3 years, and been part of its administration for 1 (and a half), and it’s been a pleasure to be part of a group that helps its members grow creatively.
I started doing comics when I was a kid, and if you see through the official Instagram , I’ve been working on it ever since. Comics have been the great entrance for me as an Animator and Motion Designer. It makes alot of sense, since comics are basically a branch of storyboarding that is essential in telling a video’s story.
Any aspiring motion designers and animators may want to consider comics as a hobby, even if you do not particularly fancy yourself as an illustration artist. You may quickly realize that working on comics will dramatically improve your ability to tell stories through video.
Besides, I would love to see more video people come to our meets! If you are even curious about working in comics, feel free to drop by one of our bi-weekly meetings!

I began tabling at Chicago Zinefest a few years ago debuting “Kitty’s Guide to Chicago Coffee”, a comic “food travelogue” about Chicago’s different coffeehouses and coffee culture.
The incredible community and feedback I got from the Chicago audience made me want to go back every year. This year is no different, it was exciting, fun and full of pizza (there was pizza).
I started my journey into animation through the realm of comics, I started drawing bad little comics in high school on pencil using dot matrix printer paper. Years later, I found a love for animation through the stories I would make on comics.
The Chicago Comics Community, including that of “Let’s Make Comics Chicago” , CAKE Chicago, and Chicago Zinefest helped me rediscover the art of comics and helped me become a better artist overall.
Thank you again for everyone that made it and met up with me this year. If you were not able to make it, I encourage you to try to make it next year!
I’m so excited to share that I’ll be premiering an ALL-COLOR Comic Book called “Witchtoons: Comics about a career professional” at Chicago Zinefest this year.
The book will be available in local Chicago comic and zine shops a little bit after the festival, but if you want to be one of the first to pick it up. Please swing by!

You may notice that some videos may have added details and pictures of “Behind the Scenes” of an animated piece. This could include Storyboards, Character Designs and other details that help show the Process I use in order to guide a project to conclusion.
This is, of course, a continuous addition to the site depending on permissions and type of work.

This will feature much of my art and comics that I’ve worked on over the years, including the “Kitty’s Guide to Chicago Coffee” series and "DJDJ”.

It was a pleasure to be part of Marwen’s Career Fair last week, inspiring children to pursue creative careers, including Art, Animation and Motion Graphics.
Talking to kids about pursuing an Animation Program is something I absolutely love doing. Not only do I hope to encourage children in pursuing their dreams, but it is also affirming to me personally as a professional.
As I said to many of the children at this event: “You don’t need much to get started. Start doing Animation as soon as possible, regardless of where you feel you’re at now. It always gets better.”
So let’s fly to greater heights together!!!
