How to Open a Door

“How to Open a Door” was a project done for my Alternative Strategies class. I took photos of my friend, Akira Thompson, cut out his character in pieces and glued them to card paper.

I filmed the entire short in an hour using shelves of glass to create the layering effect you see in the video.

The environment was taken on a sunny day in Grant Park, Chicago.

The film was featured in Festivals such as the Movieside Film Festival and the 3-Minute Film Festival.
